Re: Need help

Re: Need help

It's a bit of a long shot but that looks quite similar to an outfit Steve Sinnott built. I'll ask Karl if he knows.

Re: From Paul Riley - 40yr maximum age for Newcomers at TT

This ruling seems very arbitrary for a number of reasons. Why 40? why not 35 or 45? If you are fit enough and qualify through the medical and your results, surely your age is irrelevant. Apparently this move is aimed at getting younger competitors to do the TT. Just how does this rule achieve that? ...

Southern 100 Investigation

The Manx Independent Carrier reports : Last Tuesday, the Southern One Hundred Club held an investigation into the totally blameless racing non-incident between Trim Leaves and the Bargeall brothers on the Blown circuit during this year’s Sidecar Championship race. The committee, which comprised of ...

Re: Something is Ailing Sidecars that isn't related to racing in general. What is it?

I suspect part of the answer may be simple mathematics. When I bought my first outfit lots of people were racing sidecars. That meant that there were always plenty of reasonably priced secondhand outfits for sale. Because the grids were large, having an outfit that wasn't fully competitive didn't ma...

Re: The sound of the Sidecars is key to their future,,,,,

Sorry to be a bit of a killjoy here but I'm not in favour of unsilenced bikes. My hearing loss is permanent and greatly inconvenient. Personally I found the Honda 6 actually painful to my ears. I like the sound of a good engine but not at the cost of my hearing. Nowadays people are better educated a...
