Re: CBR 600 Ignition issue?

It's actually running a bit rich & we're a bit hesitant to lean it off.

CBR 600 Ignition issue?

We're dynoing a CBR600 & the pipes are glowing red. It's also down a bit on power/torque than we expected. Checking over stuff I noticed the knock sensor is there but no plug for it. Does the ECU back the timing off if there is no sensor found? Tried 2 different ECU's & slight difference only.

Re: 91 LCR front & rear spring rates

I ran a 80 kg on the front of my 94 when I had it as I'm around 100 kg meself  Until I ran that spring the front it was a real bastard to steer.
Most bikes run a progressive spring on the rear.
I still have the Eibach shocks I ran in it, could be convinced to part with them.

HD front primary pulley/sprocket

G'day,
Looking for some help with our project here in Oz. I need to get a Harley big twin front primary pulley or sprocket with 10 splines to Bob Newby so he can make a pulley up for our bike. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Duncan

Re: Lifting the sidecar onto stands

I use a hydraulic car engine crane that I re-positioned the wheels to lower it. Put 100 mm blocks under the tyres of the bike, roll the crane under, hoist it up & onto the stands. Footy uses a block & tackle or his forklift.

16" Classic tyres?

What is everyone using for 16" wheeled classics? I hear Dunlop has production issues. Is there anything else that works?

Yokohama F1 tyres?

Any update on Yokohama tyres for F-1's?
I'm fed up up with the crap supply we get with the other brand!

Re: F2 chassis dimensions

Doesn't sound too far off the mark. Is the engine as far as possible forward? What sort of rear shock/spring? If it's too soft it will squat too much & you'll get too much drive from the rear. Has someone experienced riding F2's had a ride on it? Sometimes another opinion can help sort stuff out.

It depends on the year of the engine & if it has ABC modes & you want to use it for different engine maps.

Yep, Compomotive centres. Mine had 4/4.00" bolt pattern on front/side & 4/4.50" on the rear.

Disc brake number?

Anyone know the part number or dimensions for the disc rotor for earlier LCR?
I think it's the 6 bolt & it looks smaller diameter than my 08 rotors.
A mate's front disc has some ugly cracks in it & I can't get to measure it at the moment.

Re: GSX R-600 Valve Clearance Setting

More likely the valve faces are worn. Also if they're that worn the valve seat may also be damaged. Get the head to someone to replace the valves & make sure the seats are O.K. Usually the valve spring is a bit weak & can contribute to premature wear. A good mod is to use the 750 springs as they're ...
