Re: From Paul Riley - 40yr maximum age for Newcomers at TT

I am surprised at the total lack of concern by members of the sidecar racing fraternity at this immoral, illegal travesty let alone those who commited the aformentioned. Thin end of the wedge.

Re: From Paul Riley - 40yr maximum age for Newcomers at TT

The Equality Act 2010 says that you must not be discriminated against because: You are (or are not) a certain age or in a certain age group. Someone thinks you are (or are not) a specific age or age group. This is known as discrimination by perception. You are connected to someone of a specific age ...

Re: From Paul Riley - 40yr maximum age for Newcomers at TT

This is an outrage! If the "not accountable dopes" who decided on this were asked "In your own words, please explain" I doubt if a valid fact-based reason would be forthcoming. It is discriminatory, to say the least, If it were me I would consult counsel on the matter.

Re: Sidecar racing in South Africa.

Chairs died a death in 1981 due to the poor quality of machinery with the exception of one Tin windle with a TZ 750 motor. I tried to gather up enough people to restart the chairs in 1984 but met with little interest to be honest. Only way to get sidecars going would be to import 10 or so and then i...

Re: New rules on age of sidecar frames

May be the organisers should implement a policy of "If the machine looks like it was sprayed with a watering can and Stevie Wonder picked the colour scheme, don't bother turning up."

Re: New rules on age of sidecar frames

I'm all for improving safety but based on facts not opinions. Lets say a Fondue machine was only used at the IOM it would be well past its sell by date at 7 years, whereas some tube machines may still be serviceable.
