Racing in France 2020- revised

So it looks like we will get a few races in this year after all..
And, for those who are quick, there are places available (not many) in most classes ;)

Re: BRAKE DISCK

Fanch tells me that John Derbyshire used Terry Windle wheels, forks and a few other bits, so in all logic they are windle disks.
Is Dave Cheesman still making windle bits ?

Is there any 2020 meeting NOT cancelled ?

Just wondering if there is any actual event that is still set (at the moment) to go ahead this year ?
I mean anything, anywhere ?
Oh, postponed but without a defined date don't count, they will most likely be cancelled too :D

Re: BRAKE DISCK

Hi I also have a Derbyshire with these disks, as does a friend who is also looking for discs It would be good if they are from a car, but I don't think so, they are too thin, and with a small, 8mm 5 hole bolt pattern and tapered offset, I don't see how they could bolt up to a car wheel hub? They cou...

How to recycle an old mobile phone as a GPS laptimer.

Just about all of us have an old mobile phone lying around, and we don't know what to with it. it's been replaced, has no more use, but still works, so we kept it, hidden deep in a drawer somewhere. Well, why not turn it into a laptimer? I've been using a app based timer since 2017 now, and while sk...

Re: Race meeting ideas

Hi I'm not sure I really have any answers, and it seems I am the kiss of death for any race classes. When i took up proddy racing in Aus around 2000, it was the death of the class. I switched to 250GP, as that class was dying as well. In europe, I've raced all the "leper" classes, ones that no one w...

Re: 2 stroke revival ?

OK, as a die hard 2 stroke fan (Still racing 250GP bikes!) I think you need to pay careful attention to the definition of a 2 stroke. These motors will still have a power stroke per revolution, but won't be simple , inefficient, polluting piston ported, crankcase induction motors. It will almost def...
