Re: Can Anyone Date This Tubular Windle Racing in the States

Never Mind the Chassis, think about the engine !! Mike Richards and I have been talking about the prospect of using the big bore (200 bhp+) kettle engines that Suzuki produce for snowmobiles and the CVT drive for a number of years, what a fantastic package . . . . . . .but nowhere to race one...

Re: New Guzzi pics as requested by Wal

I believed Henk's Guzzi engine to be pre 1972, if this is the case, can he use it in CRMC over 750 classic class ?
Just askin' !

Re: New Guzzi pics as requested by Wal

Thanks for that Mike, that really is 'food for thought', Henk went well with this engine in is old bike, but his home made chassis wasn't the best handler, this on the other hand . . . :notworthy: :D

Re: Where to find an exploded view of lcr hub?

Hi Scott

Might help if you let us know which LCR hub you are looking for, F1 or F2, front or rear and what year bike, as they may have changed.

Just sayin'

Re: yokohama tyres

Must be something in the air. . .or the beer  Dick, obviously I know nowt as well, :? I have been told that the main objection to the Yokohama tyres was not so much the size but, that unlike the Avon and Dunlop options which are made as 'Classic' tyres, the Yokohama tyres are actually a modern...

Re: Windle F2 Chassis in NZ.. Build Date? Setup Advice? Hist

Front brake mounting looks interesting, don't think that was Terry's was it Geoff ? Re Set-up Kai, I've never owned a Windle chassis, but I have had a few short bikes with big engines, for me personally I found hard rear suspension to reduce squatting under power and soft front with 'droop' to stop ...

Re: Sidecar TT

It has been hard to buy standard heads(two) to comply with the standard head rule. You're right Smithy1, it was hard to buy standard heads. It did beg the question at the time. . .If around 50 TT competitors in 2011 with a minimum of two engines each, had to buy standard heads, given the shortage o...

Re: Sidecar TT

Just a question in respect of logistics, given that it would appear there are normally around 20+ teams at a British championship meeting, with probably around half of them doing the TT. So relative to the 50+ teams at the TT maybe it wont affect as many people as we first think, how many teams will...

Re: Sidecar TT

As far as I am aware Jo, all 2013 Sidecar competitors were sent an email asking for their thoughts on the then current regulations.
I suppose whether you class that as extensive depends on how many people replied and what they said.

Re: Ian Waughs Puma

Yes Bob, big twins were originally included and many people built them like Waffy's beautiful Puma, even Dieter Busch built a BMW for the TT. As I remember it, perhaps not the only reason, but certainly a contributing factor in the banning of the the twins was the Ducati outfit campaigned by Neil Sm...
