Re: First arrival...

You'd better hide any alcohol if Matty's staying with you, he's been known to have the odd drink!

Re: Irving Vincent

Built by the Horner brothers at Ken's engineering shop near Melbourne. It is an engineering masterpiece & follows the basic design of the Vincent V twin. It does have some 'modern' :o improvements where it can to fit into our P5 class. They also build solo bikes that have taken wins in class at Day...

Re: A poll for Dude, Astra or Audi A3?

If they're the Astra's we get here, keep away from them! We work on lots of them at our workshop. I rub my hands together as they come in the driveway!
But then again we've had some A3's with problems as well.

Re: Philip Island qualifying

The Irving Vincent is 1300 cc Period 5 & has had a few eligibilty issues  . It's a weapon. The #12 is a localy built TZ750 powered bike Chivo has owned for years winning Oz championships when it was a modern. The Ireson runs a waterbottle & has a few reliability issues sometimes, but is a love...

Re: Vincent question

Ken & Barry run an engineering business where they build these beasts when Barry has spare time. The solo bike has had success at Daytona Battle of the Twins. They based them on the original engine with some new tech stuff included. They had to call them Irving Vincent as someone still owns the 'Vin...

Looks like I'll be asleep during the race! It's 9.40 p.m. here now & nearly time to hit the fart sack. :)

Re: Gavin Porteous (AUS)

Gav had a few outings after the crash where he was still very quick. He lengthened the left handlebar on his F1 short bike to compensate for his right arm. Last I heard he was racing cars & doing very well in his class.

Re: 16" Tyres?

Is there any chance of someone bringing some over in the container that is coming over for the Island Classic in January. I can get my mate to pay before they leave & there would be many beers as thanks as well. :D

16" Tyres?

Where can we find some proper 16" sidecar race tyres? A mate is building a JAP v-twin 1200 in a Manx style frame & can't find any square profile race tyres. Anyone got some ideas where to get some?
