Australian Memorial Service – Paul Pinfold

The late Paul Pinfold, devoted father and champion speedway racer has passed unexpectedly on the 31st of December in Brisbane.

We would love for you to attend the memorial service to celebrate our father, legend of sidecar racing and his amazing 51 years of designing, building and competing his motorcycles.

The Australian memorial service will be held on the Saturday 30th January 2016 in Brisbane.

To all of the Maisie 100 family and supporters,

Without your amazing support and craziness for taking part in the Maisie 100, Maisie wouldn't have had the amazing input of energy and motivation you provided her to be the Maisie we know today. However, 'sunshine all the time makes a desert'.

Maisie passed away in her sleep Friday (13th) with us all around her, and as we said our goodbyes a cheeky Maisie smile formed on her beautiful little face.

Maisie was so very grateful for all of the kind messages and support you gave her and without you all as a family we wouldn't have been able to have had the amazing memories of Italy and the experience.

The money that was raised allowed us to take Maisie on holiday, provided her with everything she asked for and wanted to do. Without it all we wouldn't have had the freedom to fulfill Maisie's wishes; from these of which we have made some life long memories.

We are so very grateful for you all and being part of our lives. From something negative a positive will always show through. In this case, this is all of you.

The funeral arrangements will be posted on this page when we know, for anyone wishing to attend.

Love Kerry, Iain and Harriet x

Mansfield sidecar racers Ben and Tom Birchall were at Darley Moor race circuit in Derbyshire at the weekend where they won the sidecar race at the Stars At Darley meeting.

The Mitchell's of Mansfield supported team recorded the fastest lap during qualifying and began the 15 lap race from pole position. Using the F2 machine that took the double win at this year's TT races the pair didn't get the best of starts but made their way through the pack to take the lead on lap three heading the field for the remainder of the race. They extended their lead with each passing lap and crossed the finish line for the win with an advantage of 21.97 seconds over Knight/Fishwick.

It's not often I sit and watch an onboard all the way through but this was one I did.

UPDATE - Brian Ilaria has another onboard from the same meeting, I've added that as well

If you've not raced a sidecar but thought about it, this is the sort of thing that should convince you to have a go. Great close racing with Simon and Carl, THE Belgians, Simon and another Christie.. Brian Powerhouse Ilaria and Lee... just watch out for Jon Bicknell and The Racing Preacher making up for having to start at the back after losing a nipple off a cable at the start of the race before.

Derby Phoenix rises from the ashes with the support of Thundersport to put on an excellent weekends meeting. Twenty one outfits took part with seven teams entering the FSRA F350/Post Classic & pre-injection Championship.
