Introducing the Northern Sidecar Cup

FROM ALEX JANSEN

We would like to inform you about the new sidecar competition that starts in 2022: The ‘Northern Sidecar Cup’.

The Cup is organized by Alex Jansen (Sidecar Racing International) in collaboration with the KNMV, FMB-BMB and the DSRA.

The Northern Sidecar Cup races take place in North West Europe.

All teams with a modern sidecar are welcome to participate. It is therefore possible to race with a F1 or F2 and with a 600cc, 1000cc or bigger. We do require an international racing license from participating teams.

The competition focuses emphatically on teams that are looking for an affordable, accessible competition.

Each race, the first fifteen teams to finish receive championship points. There is therefore no distinction between permanent participants and wildcard teams.

However, registering as a permanent team give the Teams advantages. This way they can compete to win racing tires, have a chance to win prize money and both the Team and their sponsors are assured of extra publicity through the social media channels of the Northern Sidecar Cup.

The aim is to organize a total of six events that count towards the Northern Sidecar Cup. The four already confirmed events can be seen in the calendar below. More information about the two other events will of course follow as soon as possible.

Calendar 2022 Northern Sidecar Cup:

Round 1: 15 and 16 April Croix en Ternois (France)
Round 2: April 30 and May 1 Hengelo (Gld) (Netherlands)
Round 3: 27, 28 and 29 May Assen (Netherlands)
Round 4: 23 and 24 July Chimay (Belgium)

We hope for a lot of interest in participating in the Northern Sidecar Cup!
