Payne and Rousseau defend FIM Sidecar World Championship lead in Croatia

Following a three-week break in the schedule that gave teams a vital early-season window to regroup and refine their set-ups, action in the 2026 FIM Sidecar World Championship resumes this weekend when round two takes place at Grobnik-Rijeka in Croatia.

Heading to the Automotodrom Grobnik with the series lead following a perfect performance at the opening round at Le Mans last month, former champions Harrison Payne (ARS Yamaha) and Kevin Rousseau are setting the pace at the top of the table as the series returns to the circuit for the first time since 2022.

After leaving France with maximum points following their two race wins, the British/French pairing got their campaign to regain the throne they lost last season off to the best possible start, but defending championsSam and Thomas Christie (LCR Yamaha) and Finn Pekka Päivärinta (ARS Yamaha) with Adam Christie – the third of the British brothers – in the chair will be determined to end their early win-streak.

Good evening all. Just had a message from Tibbs

There have only been 8 teams entered our next round at Cadwell Park 16/17 of May.
BHR have extended the closing date to Wednesday the 6th of May

I am sorry to say this round may be cancelled if we dont get more entries
Please get your entries in ASAP. If you have any problems Jan Tyrell has offered help as the booking system is new, or email in and we can assist you
No one wants this round cancelled. Cadwell is a great circuit to Race and the last shot out for testing prior to some of our teams head off to the TT
