The Isle of Man TT Races has today published the First-Stage Report of the TT Sidecar Sustainability Review, marking the conclusion of the initial evidence-gathering phase announced following the suspension of the Sidecar class during TT 2026.

The Review has brought together a broad range of evidence, including more than 460 public submissions, together with dedicated panels involving competitors, technical specialists and representatives from across the Race Organisation.

Update from Maria

It’s not been easy to give you updates for many reasons, mainly because this is just so hard for me to take in right now. So thank you for your patience.



I can tell you I have moved hospitals and some rehab has started but I’m still waiting to go to a specialist hospital. The bruising has gone, my wrist has been plated but some bones are still mending.



I don’t have a lot more to share now but I be taking you on this journey with me, as I don’t think I can do it without you because your support so far has absolutely made the difference.

This weekend is the Goodwood Festival of Speed (I’m missing everyone so bad)!

My heartfelt thanks go to The Duke of Richmond for sharing my fundraiser page during the event. I also want to thank Duncan Pittaway for his part in raising more funds. This all means so much right now.

Of Castleford passed away peacefully on 26th June, 2026, aged 87 years. 

Dear husband of Adele.

Much loved dad of Marie, Lisa and the late Stephen. Father -in-law of Charlie and Phill.

Also loving grandad of Reece and Zoe. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Service to take place at Pontefract Crematorium on Thursday 23rd July at 11.40am.

Will friends please accept this intimation. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Jim would be appreciated and go towards Yorkshire Air Ambulance which may be kindly left in the box provided at the crematorium.
