only difference in the casings is the size of the breather holes inbetween the cylinders, K8 ones are around 2mm bigger to "supposedly help the engine breather better" as Geoff said the pistons and head are different as they changed the valve angles, cams are a different profile and I thin...

Do you use dry break couplings so you don't have to drain oil from the lines when changing engine?
