Re: Info on Bryan Rust and other BSA A65 runners?

I can supply you with a current number for Colin Rust,I will ask him first though, and then Pm it to you. There are loads of pictures of Mac Hobson, and a few of Pat Sheriden,on Facebook, under Classic sidecar racing, and Silloth groups.I am sure Mike Richards could supply you with some pics of Pat,as h...

Re: frame finish, painting ??

Bare metal, then spray with duck oil.Unless it is wiped off,or you are in a torrential downpour it will stop the frame rusting for at least 6 mths if its dry and a week if it gets wet, time enough for you to dry it off and reapply.WD40 is a waste of time,it does what it says on the tin,its a water dis...

Re: Getting Started Driver and Bears outfit

Contact someone at British Historic Racing they run the Bears class, and will be able to advise on their rules for the class.I think Slow Phil(on here)should be able to provide you with the sidecar itself, suitable for a Bears bike.

Re: Beginners tyre advice

Don't bother with inters.Wets for rear and front will get you away in the wet-sidecar wheel will follow the other 2. Full set of slicks for the dry, dont have to be brand new, there are a few people who sell off part worn tyres, which could help you reduce your costs. We usually put a worn front on o...

Re: Dave Saville TT machines 1979-1990.

The 1984 Dave Saville outfit, was an Ireson chassis built originally for a Konig engine, but fitted instead with a Yamaha 350.

Re: Sidecar TT missing chassis/engine Part 2

1979, Dave Saville may have been a tin Windle?
1986 Dave Hallam,Windle Yam(we have the btm half of this engine).
1978 Biland was using the BEO(lots of pics floating about).
1975,and 1977,Mac Hobson Windle HamYam.
1976 Rolf Steinhuasen,Busch Konig(think he still has this bike?).

Re: Sidecar TT missing chassis/engine Part 2

1976 Mac Hobson, was on a Windle, and also in 1977,he got the Schmid in 1978,I am sure Mike Crawford can confirm/correct this.Dick Greasley will have been on the Busch in 1978,in 1977 he may still have been on his Windle,in 1975 definently on the Windle..Hope this helps.
