Yep, Paul was here at my place Monday with Andy Glenie. The new speedway series out there sounds fantastic $5000 each round for a win, all televised and prize money right the way down by all accounts. His son Paul Jnr is getting married today.

I recall him at Mallory with one of those huge twin ...

Certainly recall seeing a Konig with Gardner carbs but cannot recall who, what or where :roll: In my defence I did not take much notice as I did not consider the Konig as a 'proper' sidecar power plant then :lol:

I know that Kim (Newcombe) used twin Tillotsen carbs on the factory solo.Ultimately ...

Best sidecar crew I have ever watched has to be Nick Weston on his Vintage Triumph :notworthy: :notworthy: One of the best drivers I have ever seen :D I sat behind him oneday at Mallory on a Wednesday, I was on my F2 I sat behind him for two laps and couldnt believe it !!! Fanstastic :P :P

You'll probably find him in the 'Grouse and Trout' near Farr !! Great bloke,used to knock about with him when we were sprogs.Both had Honda S65s (impressive eh,)

That BM was superb.The swinging arm pivot went through the centre of the diff crown-wheel and then it ran a sprocket and chain to the back wheel !
