Re: ACU License
I've just found the relevant section in the ACU handbook (2018). As long as you had upgraded to clubman before you "retired" you should not need to do an on track assessment. You will need to do the CTC course though. 2.3 LAPSED LICENCES Lapsed Novice and Intermediate Novice Licence holder...

Re: ACU License
Thanks for the info folks, don't want this to sound like a dumb question but I presume that if you are intending to race sidecars again then you do the rider assessment course on an outfit surely ? or is it on one of those 2 wheeled things ? .......... was all this brought in for the sake of modern...

I downloaded this file from this website a few years ago, I have no idea if it is accurate or not though.

Re: Q/S pin connection on Yoshi Empro ECU
Hi John, I have the standard loom and there are 2 wires connected to the old side stand connector. One is connected to ground and one is a control signal connected to the ECU. When you bring the signal LOW it will trigger the ignition cut, but you need to be in gear and doing over 3k rpm or it will ...

Re: Stands
My Dad made some custom ones. They are tripod type stands that sit under the chassis. You can change all the wheels and under tray while its on the stands. They are a bit tricky in a grass paddock like Cadwell but work fine everywhere else. You also need at least 2 people to get it on and off the st...

Re: New Accident and sickness cover
I used holidaysafe when we went testing at Val de Vienne. Very reasonable. Not sure if the cover would have been sufficient for racing though.

Re: Q/S pin connection on Yoshi Empro ECU
Hi, I found this file on this site a few years ago. I didn't need it myself as my quickshifter is wired to the side stand switch, with a standard loom, must have already been modified. Anyway, I saved the file as it looked useful. I have no idea how accurate it is, and I cannot even trace my own wir...

Re: helmet
Leg is not too bad. Had a few infections which are pretty painful but antibiotics work nice. I went to the fracture clinic yesterday, my right leg is 27mm shorter now. I've got to go back next week to see if they can extend the current fracture or if they need to break it again in a different spot. ...

Time to invest in some cheap black leather dye. You can make any 2 sets of leathers look the same.

I have some pretty cool engineering attached to my leg, that's what allows me to walk on it.

Re: Val de Vienne 2017 entry
One of my pin sites got infected, which was painful but not doing too bad now as the antibiotics have worked. I can walk around for short distances without using the crutches, so can't really complain only 4 weeks since a big break. Not taking pain killers anymore, mostly because the side effects ar...
