Russells......the old one.......One of the few places we had an incident............like a damn blowout in the rear tyre just as we turned from right to left.........spat me out onto the track.

That was Snetterton in 1990 approx.............If you recall there wasn't much there in the way of toilets (unless you went under the old grandstand).

It was talking to the passenger at that meeting that finally made up my mind to start passengering as well....... We always used to stick some gaffer tape over all of ours when they had been tightened............had several pop up at times, even though they were correctly installed....

It would be 1989 if I recall correctly........Definitely Snetterton.


Just found several more from around '89 at Brands and Snetterton; plus several from when I was competing roughly between 1990 and 2000.

Hi Alan, dad never did seem to know where the breaks were :-) LOL........Tell me about it! They certainly didn't work on wet grass as he (we) found out at Pembrey July 1991........and we still came away with two trophies, having glued the outfit back together. I used to be Barry's passenger for several years but lost touch with him.........I was very sorry to hear about his passing.

Just joined the forum having spotted this thread........

Barry Forderer (RIP) raced solos; 250s IIRC, before he got onto three wheels........I know he did Brands once or twice and I'm sure he used two stroke bikes.
