Track day at Cadwell in September - MSV won't do it
I think I must have posted on Facebook about the possibility of taxi rides on the evening of Thursday 14th September, and several people said they would be willing to support it - I can remember Andy Wilby and Andy Thomas. Because it's Facebook, I can't find the post, but anyway this is an update to...

Brief report on Tonfanau 21st April
I was marshalling so I don't have lap times, but this is what happened: A good grid of seven outfits came out to practice, but unfortunately lots of them broke! New driver Mark Griffiths only managed half a lap of practice before an electrical gremlin struck. Gary Wilson was in the programme to driv...

Re: Welsh TT ?
The law that needed to be passed to enable it, got shelved. And as Slow Phil says, it would not have sidecars anyway.

Passenger req for FSRA PI Oulton 28 April & Mallory Park 6 & 7 May
I have entered the first three rounds of the FSRA Pre-injection Post Classic and F350 Championship which runs with the Wirral 100 and EMRA sidecar races, and unfortunately my passenger is now going with someone else. I suspect this is because I am not the fastest! However, I am a good driver for som...

Re: 2017 ACU British Sidecar Speedway Championship
My husband, daughter and myself travelling the 2 1/2 hours from Mid Wales for the final at Belle Vue, and it was one of the best events we've ever been to!
A definite for next year. Are the outfits the same as grasstrack?

Ladies Parade at Cadwell Park
There was some talk of the possibility of a Ladies Parade to celebrate all the lady drivers and passengers at the Sidecar Bash at Cadwell Park, but unfortunately this is not going to happen in 2017. Hopefully we can plan it more in advance and go ahead next year. We would like to have as many female...

Re: New driver training course - Friday 6th October (possibly)
Many thanks to Margaret and Dave of the Wirral 100 Club and the other sidecars who were testing on Friday, who enabled Kerry to be assessed as a driver. Their willingness to liaise with the ACU and take things forward was very refreshing in a world where too often people do not wish to do anything w...

New driver training course - Friday 6th October (possibly)
Wirral 100 Club are running a new rider training course and practice day on Friday 6th October, ahead of the Anglesey Grand on 7th and 8th October. There is also a Sidecar Challenge taxi ride session on the afternoon of Thursday 5th October. I phoned Margaret of the club to ask if the new rider trai...

Spare rear Windle wheel required for Aintree this weekend
Just a long shot, but the pins in my wet wheel are broken and the new ones not done yet. The weather forecast is iffy, so we might need the wets. If anyone can lend us a wheel for Aintree, or possibly has one for sale, please give me a ring on 01686 430522 or email marianne@trailrides-wales.com. Tha...

Trail riding weekend in January (solo and sidecar)
During the year, a few people chatting in the Paddock were interested in a trail ride in Wales during the winter break. Date suggested is the weekend of 28th and 29th January, but we could go a week earlier than that. I have spoken with the manager of the Plas Dolguog Hotel, Penegoes, Machynlleth, S...

So glad! In celebration, I have started a Facebook group for lady passengers. If you are one, let me know and put a photo on Facebook Women on the Side.
Thanks, Marianne

I phoned Rob Fisher but he was out, and I am off to Donington now. Will chase this idea up on Monday next week.

Re: How to go Motorcycle Racing Without Breaking the Bank
Very good, Dave. Rob Fisher's outfit is immaculate and could be unclothed, with Bruce Moore's as the clothed one. It occurs to me, however, that if co-operation could be attained, the BEARS should also be introduced - how about the Guzzi outfit which is beautiful and the prettiest of the ugly K100s?...
