Re: Standard cylinder heads; much difference?
Much talk about no alterations above the cylinder head gasket, but alterations below are OK .Strange that nobody has mentioned the probable need to alter the heat range of the spark plug(s) when compression ratios are altered. These are part of the cylinder head. Anybody holed any pistons?

Manx Grand Prix
I went to the Manx Grand Prix for the first time for many years. I rode a 350 in 1952? Shame there's no sidecars but it's a very friendly meeting, much more so than the TT. It was full of incredible highs and devasting lows. That's racing I guess.

Re: thank you
robin and I would like to say a very BIG thank you to all of our lovely sidecar friends for making our TT one to remember. to get a finishers medal was just awesome. I would like to point out that the poor race time was not down to Robin's inability. it was down to having to stop on the last lap so...

Re: TT comment in the Guardian:
From 'TT is for toothy Lancastrians called George' by Martin Kelner: "The most genuinely disturbing event, I found, was the sidecar race. I had fondly imagined the sidecar guys to have proper little cars to sit in, with some fishpaste sandwiches wrapped in greaseproof paper, a flask of tea and...

TT prize giving.
I'd like to say how honoured I was to present the prizes at the TT to the fantastic, talented sidecar winners at the first presentation. Never thought in my wildest dreams that could ever happen. Congratulations to every one of you.

Re: where are they now
Stan Dibben , it is pleasure to even reply to one of your posts on this forum, I can not understand why on earth the people at the IOM TT do not show its appreciation of home grown true road racers legends . I hope you get an invite to the Festival of Sidecars at Mallory, so I can shake your hand a...
