Re: Ian Waughs Puma

Didn't Paul Pinfold also build a V twin outfit, Westlake lump from the grass tweaked to run on petrol?

Think I remember seeing it at Mallory.

Hi Konig buffs, picture two shows I believe Gardner carbs don,t remember them being used on a konig do wonder how well they worked? FWTW, John Renwick did so much of the development of the entire outfit - the primary chain, engine sprocket and shock absorber on the early versions was straight off a...

Re: Is this the most boring section on the forum

What a bunch of wusses you all are. I raced classic outfits when they were modern and never had a start line incident. Push starts are the proper start procedure, you had to make sure the engine was set up properly and would start first time. I used to run an 11:1 compression ratio and 5 star petro...

push starts, great stuff, from the days when outfits were chairs and passengers had bruised shins Add to that balloted grids and there is a recipe for great racing Hmm push starts, "passengers had bruised shins", - and also frequently broken legs as I recall Bob - by being shunted from be...

Martin is, apparently, still around in Coventry (where he always was), so I am told by someone that would know.

Which is great, as I would love to see him again - the festival possibly??

Re: Vincent question

Here is an image of my old sitter, pic taken in about the year 1735 (well it seems that long ago!!). Poor old girl is still waiting for the engine to go back in again. Loved riding it, taught me a lot and prepared me well for getting on a TZ750 (which seemed like a walk in the park by comparison!!)....
