Re: EX Moly 2018 Yamaha R6 DMR

Am I right in assuming that this is Dave's 2018 built TT outfit & it sold for £12,500.00?

Re: Identification help please!

Hi mike, I dont think it is the "Kirby" BSA of Pat Sheridans, but I could be wrong????
The Kirby BSA was all white with a red stripe.
Howard (lang) should be able to help on that or RP on here who owns the bike.

Re: Identification help please!

Hi Mike,
pics 1&2 defo Mallory hairpin.
"Sticky" in his reply say's Peter Sheridan & Phil Smith in pic 4, he means Pat Sheridan. Also I dont think Pat's passenger was killed in the 1971 sidecar accident at Oulton Park,
it was Gary Bryan's RGB, passenger Pete Pritchard who was killed.

Re: Info on Bryan Rust and other BSA A65 runners?

Gary Bryan of RGB Racing had or still has an A65 engine which was converted many years ago to run a double overhead camshaft.

The guy's at SRM in South Wales, A65 specialists could maybe help you in idenifying who else rode them.

Ray Thomas of SRT from up here had one in his early day's of racing.

Re: Right Side Sidecars

aah, thanks Dan, with me it's the shoulders that are shot, too many years with a British twin. I've been buiding solo's recently. Talking about running races in the opposite direction, the Hutchinson 100 at Brands Hatch was run for many years in the opposite direction, end of season meeting I think....

Re: Right Side Sidecars

Got to disagree with you Fanch.
The era that saw the most left hand sidecars racing against the right hand sidecars was the 60's & 70's & the majority of drivers were using the same Rennsport BMW engines. So the drive had no bearing on wether the sidecar was right or left.

Re: Right Side Sidecars

Kenny Arthur passengered Herman Schmidt on his left hand sidecar & then the following year passengered Rolf Steinhausen on his right hand sidecar,
in the GP's. How hard is that!
