So let me get this straight..the original company (Kissack Bros) had done a superb job for 35 years, the new company have no experience and are going to be more expensive. Mmmm.....

Would one be right in assuming that the original (standard) cam cover breathing systems must be retained? I haven't described that well, but I mean the bits and pieces that get blanked off.

It may well be an old Derbyshire. Much of John's work 'resembled' Windle's. The wheels that he had cast were very similar, as was the swinging arm. I know at least one of Derbyshire's chassis was built using Windle running gear.
Pat Gallagher would probably be able to identify it one way or another.
