Information and government-imposed restrictions are constantly evolving, however following many difficult discussions, the Road Racing Committee of the SCMRC have made the tough decision to cancel the 2021 Bob Mac.
The potential increased risk to health and safety of all those involved and the limitations and tightened controls imposed for large gathering events have been the key factors to the decision to cancel.
We realise this will be disappointing news, however we’re not giving up all hope for this season. Should there be sufficient developments to safeguarding our volunteers, competitors and visitors to the event, plus significant lifting of government restrictions, the committee may review the situation with the potential of running the event later in the season. This will of course be subject to final confirmation by the committee and full support from the SACU and our friends at East Fortune.
