I think your right on the money side & money comming from the Continent. I got 2 offers for my bike & they were both from the continent.
O/K, classics & post classics do cost a lot but so does a good F2 or F1, you takes your choice. Classic engines are more fickle than jap engines but if you keep on top of them then they wont cost you a fortune, & are more fun.

hey guys :d were the tyre prices for a Konig or the F350? we have had a swinging arm made for the 350 to take the f2 wheels :d will that mean we would have to run on intermediates if we race with the classic club

Blimey, Did I miss something!! I've just sobered up from the AGM, and what a great evening it was. Especially Mr Toseland's female guest---

Anyway, I do beleive too many outfits are going abroad, result is there are less to "hand down" in this country, the only good thing is the amount of money they seem to fetch, Ive had firm offers of £13K for my imp, which seems ridiculous I know but hey, I could do with the money

All joking aside they did mention at the AGM about sponsoring foreign riders as they travel all this way to race with the CRMC!!!! (as if they havent got enough money)

Anyway a good Yokohama 185 or even 175 will fit onto a 8" width rim, so although a lot of people have splashed out on Wets , Slicks etc, just think of the benefits running a single treaded tyre will offer. It's a real shame that now we have the blessing to run different bikes, a tyre issue is holding us back.

Hey having seen the CRMC reduce our entry fees, surely we can all see the positive nature that the club is trying to have, so the rest is up to us lot.

I am now personally seeking a F.Era machine any one know of any Laverdas hidden away any where???????

Richard H, the Sideecar Ambassador for CRMC stated "If your (sic)

A sensible and reasonable question was asked as to whether any news was to be made public from the CRMC AGM in the interests of the sidecar racing community as a whole. The response was an unwarranted personal attack.

I shall dignify this attack with a moderated response. Unfortunately it is financially impossible for me to race with CRMC or any other UK club due to where I have chosen to live and also that I am unable to obtain a licence due to health reasons. Equally, due to my domicile, it is futile to join what, in my opinion, was a once great sideecar club as attending any race meetings or functions is difficult and costly.

The only information so far disseminated is that F350 are to be allowed with CRMC and that many classic outfits are sold abroad reducing the UK stock of same. Why are they being sold abroad it may be asked - because it is too difficult and expensive to race them in the UK. The important point of increasing CRMC grids with appropriate machinery still has yet to be addressed.

Just another question.............IF there are soooo many Classic outfits around why did it take me and Grant the best part of a year to find one? Looking now there is either very, very expensive machines on offer or the odd 'not been used for a few years and needs some (major) work'.

The Dinner / Dance was a great night out and James Toseland was an absolute star. Can't speak about the AGM as did not attend through choice. There are people who say that by not attending you are either in agreement with whatever happens or can't be bothered. I am in the second category as I don't give a monkeys what races as the moment I decide I don't like what is on the grid I will go and race elsewhere. As they say I pay MY money and take MY choice.
The 2008 season looks to be a good one with some excellent circuits lined up and the attraction of redcuced entry fees. Lets hope that those sitting on the fence will come out and join in.

two things. 1 why was the wording changed on one of my replies on this forum as that is not the way I want my reply to sound.
2. F350 are not yet in as they dont want to run on treaded tyres. the same as post classic's they will not run treaded tyres so it is not the classic club holding this back, and isn't lowering the entry fee in this day and age of all things rising a major thing for sidecar racing, as I think its one of the things you keep shouting about.

We don't change wording on posts without consultation with the poster beforehand if we think they have posted in error, and as far as I know this has happened only a couple of times.

We move posts, and we delete posts that we feel are inappropriate.

Either Private Message or email me if you think something like this has been done, and show me where the post is.

In a thread as sensitive as this has been there is no way anyone would dream of touching anything is there? Maybe you would do best to read your posts through more times before submitting them. A couple sound rushed as to how they could be read by people wishing to take them the wrong way and there are people who do, this is the internet.

Yes Richard you have, and I asked that you PM or Email me please, not post on here as it will just cause more trouble.
I have not a problem with the points you are making as I am not a Classic Racer I just have an interest in what is being discussed, but I do in the aggressive sounding manner of your posting.
This is a forum, and online things can be taken differently to how you intend if you aren't careful.
Having met you I am sure you don't mean to sound so aggressive.
None of the admin who have replied in the moderators forum to my question have touched your post, and I remember it saying that when you posted it and thinking it sounded like a personal dig at the time.
Please if you wish to continue this, email me or private message and I will reply in the morning, this has already made me late getting out of the house.

Maybe you posted something that conflicted with the word censor, swearing on here is not appreciated and some words are changed by that.

It appears that the word you posted conflicts with the word censor.
If you read the forum guidelines on language and behaviour you will see that that word is censored.

Back to the subject, who has asked post classic racers if they would mind running treads? It wouldn't bother me now that I know they are available. It's got to be nicer also racing against such a variety of outfits that the classic club can potentially turn out instead of just against the 350's.

As an experiment,I have just typed in a four letter word beginning with an A ,ending with an E,this is what the word censor automatically comes up with "arse"

Just realised that the word was censored in the guidelines so you couldn't tell what it was lol, have edited the guidelines to make that clearer.
