Brilliant that brings back some happy memories, I know its Cadwell, nobody can get that wrong. I think it was the British Championship round in 1988 and this race was televised. My late husband Mick is number 15.

Re: A blast from the past
I think that's right, Pat. We had some VHS footage of this round and one or two others in 1988, it was screened on Grandstand on BBC1 on a Saturday afternoon, with commentary from Murray Walker.
Re: A blast from the past
Thats right, i particularly remember this meeting because Mick had crashed at Charlies in practice and wrecked the fairing, with the help of Bruce Ford Dunn we used the poles of the caravan awning to support the bottom of the fairing and plenty of rivettes to piece the fairing back together, while disguising all the rivettes with the right coloured tape, on the video footage I have it did not look to bad considering. All 350 2 stroke engines in those days of course!
Mick went on to win the British Championship that season, clinching the title at Scarborough, it was a close dice between Mick, Eddie Wright and Andre Witherington all season.
