Des Founds
Had a surprise this morning when Des turned up on my doorstep( I live in peel) he had sailed his boat across to the island and was moored in the harbour for a few days with Lyn. Spent a couple of hours catching up. The TT was so much more fun when Des and big Phil were about.

totaly agree Al,Des, Phil,Franco,Joe Hayes,John(jack) Booth,Tappo.etc,all fantastic characters that to me made the paddock a fun place,even Dicky Gale used to smile in them days

What happened to Big Phil?
Last time I saw him was at Ally Pally Racing show about 1997. I didn't recognise him when he came up to me - had lost about 20 stone!

Phil was at the TT in the paddock last year, saw him wandering about but I'm not sure who he was with. He has indeed lost a lot of weight; and as usual was in good humour !

Dickie wasn't smiling at the last jurby, after dicing with Glyn Jones for the race, Brian Kelly went under last lap flag in the lead then pulled into the pits, whoops, wrong flag Brian. Dickie was not amused
