I was wondering if someone could give me an approx figure of cost for one person and a motorbike during TT fortnight?
I have a friend who wants to come over for 2014 be it practice or race week.
Thanks

Re: TT travel
Wot? No TT programme at £15 a go?
It is true about the sidecar family - you can stop racing but you can never, ever leave!

That's assuming they can even get a Steam Packet sailing at this 'late' stage.

Not sure about the bike and ferry as I flew in, but I booked my ticket a week after we got home this year, for next, and fair play, it's half price!!!! Well, it was!! Probably fully booked now or £500 return!!! Good luck!!

Re: TT travel
If you want to save money, a few bikers ask anyone coming over in a van if they can put the bike in for the boat. Then the ferry ticket is "only" £80...

Re: TT travel
i dont usually book until March 1st when they open the bookings
Anyway thanks for the replies, found out someone paid £58 going out and £68 coming back which was less than i thought
Ian will be alright as he will go as competitor, i think there is a form they fill in now and also put down your crew and estemited size of pitch required, i am sure Helen or someone else will know more

Re: TT travel
Yes, competitors can book later, there are usually forms to download for booking on iomtt.com once the entries open (in the New Year). I don't think we had to pay in full until around about the end of April last year. And you do have to submit requests for paddock space, details of vehicles, trailers, awnings etc when you put your entry in.mark_d wrote:i dont usually book until March 1st when they open the bookings
