Advice on 16 yr old gaining ACU passengers licence please?

My 16 yr old son is fancying a go at passengering next season. I drive a classic/ vintage outfit so he can have a ride with me but.... re the ACU licence 'Competitor Training Course', has anyone any recent experience of doing the course for passenger licence only please? He only requires passenger licence, not novice road race and we dont want to have the same problems we had a couple of years ago when my wife went on her course and they could not compute that she didnt have a bike to do the track element. Also, if I'm picky,I dont want to pay the full course price as it is only for a passenger so half the course, ie the track element not needed unless things have changed. We live near Cadwell if anyone has done a course there and can advise at all please? Thanks Jon Ryden

I did the passenger only course at Cadwell last February. We were given a multiple choice test after listening to the rules and safety advice of the course, all the answers to the test were in the talk. It was a very friendly course and lighthearted so I enjoyed it. I have since been a passenger this season and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good luck to your son I'm sure he'll pass.
