car engined outfits
what car engines were fitted in racing outfits,i know imps, ford bda and maybe the Honda s800 but any others?. I've got a classic chassis that I think judging by the chassis and the exhaust pipes had a 4 cylinder car engine in but not sure which one it could have been.

Hi
To add to your list, I've seen NSU, BMC and of course the three cylinder Saab.

Neil Sutherland ran a Wartburg 2 stroke outfit in the late 60s/early 70s.

Trevor Youens from the North East ran a Fiat 127 engine in his outfit for a number of years in the 1970s. And John Flood from Lincoln built an outfit with a Reliant engine fitted.

The Reliant engine was a little gem, there were a couple round here.

Has anyone got any pics from under the fairing. Curious to see how the drive was done, especially the Saab engines.
