Bran Bardsley

Saddened to hear of the death of Bran Bardsley.

I only met him a couple of times when I was on the fsra committee. He seemed a nice bloke and I know he helped a lot of sidecar racers out for years.

Bran and his dear wife were the epitome of kindness to so many in the paddock and his passing is very sad. We were at an all time low having lost our bike in a fire during the TT when for no other reason than generosity he gave us his brand new Ireson complete and ready to race. The stories that followed are long and many but I only hope we repaid them both in some small way.

Saddened to hear the news that Bran has passed away, a special man. Thanks to Bran and Lowry Burton I was able to compete in and finish my first TT. Bran loaned me Lowry's grand prix engine, without that I would have gone home and probably not returned. Will always be grateful for what they did for me. RIP Bran.
