Re: Derek Bayley
Nick & Gerry's fairing on the Renwick Konig was so simple, just rounding the edges but made so much difference in the aerodynamics & the looks.
They rode a lovely Vincent outfit aswell.

Re: Derek Bayley
My connection with Derek Bailey was inheriting his Mercedes race truck to use during the 1991 season with Andy Westhead on his Ex Jnr Rumble Windle Yamaha.
It served us well and was my accommodation as long as the partnership lasted.
Regards,,,Fritz

Re: Derek Bayley
Derek passed away peacefully, in his sleep, after a short illness, on 4th February, his last few days were with his family by his side, four months short of his 76th birthday. Funeral details posted separately but repeated here from Tim and Melanie..
Hi all! Dad's funeral will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday, 21st February. The service will start at 2:30pm sharp at Hawkinge Crematorium (Aerodrome Rd, Hawkinge, Folkestone CT18 7AG).
If there's one thing we know for sure, Dad would not have wanted a wake, but a PARTY!!!! After the service, please join us at The Ship Inn, Sandgate (65 Sandgate High St, Sandgate, Folkestone CT20 3AH). We want to make this a bit of a sidecar reunion so would love to see lots of you there. If you have any old photos you can bring down too, that would be amazing!
We need a rough idea of numbers, so if you intend to come, please send a private message to Melanie Bayley or comment on this post confirming your attendance. If you're coming from further afield and need any hotel recommendations let me know.
Finally, instead of flowers we are asking for donations to Headway East Kent Brain Injury Support. https://headwayeastkent.org.uk/ - all donations hugely appreciated.
Hope to see lots of you there, we can't wait to give Dad a proper send off!!
