First time I see Bill racing was when he entered a few bemsee rounds back when dad and pete williams were battling for the F2 championship. Of course I wasn't happy at first, but to see Bill performing as well as he was knowing that nothing could slow him down no matter what was thrown at him, I could only feel nothing but admiration for the bloke. I never had the pleasure to meet Kevin but I'm sure that he was an inspiration to many passengers thinking that the TT was an impossible dream that only extreemly fit young passengers can take part.

I can only wish both of their families my sincere condoluces and gratitude for allowing both racers to participate in a sport that they both enjoyied and loved till the end.

May they both rest in peace

Just back from the Island after a week's marshalling at Tower Bends. I'd like to add my condolences to those already expressed. A dreadful and tragic accident.

I arrived home on sunday evening having made the longest & lonely trip from Heysham to Cheshire. This post is from me to Bill & Kev. First Bill. Bill in my eyes was a gentleman, & a gentle-- man, a brilliant engineer, and a fantastic rider. I as a total novice passenger am proud to say he let me be his passenger when he was stuck hence the name ( standinski), he taught me so much about the outfit racing, & life. His wicked dry sense of humour, the jokes, the rollockings never given or taken personally, the laughs in our camp & caravan, theese i will keep with me for ever.Bill would always give advise & never duff advise, but when the red light went out a hard but fair racer. I have had 14 years of being in the team, & enjoyed every single second, & every hour spent working on the outfit between race meetings memories for life. Thanks to Les his brother for introducing me to Bil & the team. Kevin i have known kev for 5-6 years in the paddocks in the uk, tt, & europe. His first words to me were have you got x or y & can i borrow it,from then on every time we saw Kev this was the joke first line every time we met in the race paddocks.Us in Bills team would shout no we dont have any before poor Kev could say hello he would just stand in the work tent & laugh. Since Kev joined the team this year i have got to know the real Kevin quiet, unassuming, true, kind, gentleman, i also found him a strong intelligent passenger & team player, iwish that i had been able to get to know him more.
Thanks in no particular order to Wyn Evans & all in the race office at the tt,constable Chris Teanor, ALLTHE SIDECAR PADDOCK to many to name you know who you are, also various solo teams.
Finally I have lost Bill my mentor, hero, my best best best friend who when i was his stand in passenger he trusted me, & when i worked on the outfit with him he trusted me,it is a bond for life & after.
TILL WE MEET AGAIN BILL& KEVIN, & WE WILL God Bless you both
For Ever your Friend ROB STANDINSKI
