If that's the case, that Konny engine is running liners, then the Piston to bore clearance will be a massive problem.
Konny engines have been designed to run a "total loss" cooling system & if I remember from a previous post, the water outlet from the engine is 65 degrees C. When running a circulating cooling system that figure of 65 degrees C will be ni on impossible to maintain, especially given the good old British climate.
Hope you have a good supply of pistons!
The only way round the liner issue would be to run Nicasil Ceramic coated aluminium liners instead of steel one's & to have a batch of pistons made out of the same grade of aluminium that the liner is made from.

Tony, yes this was the same bike. It was an original Windrick BSA, when I obtained it, it had a SAAB engine fitted and had been one of the Team Lockside bikes. I did major restoration work on it and fitted the Weslake engine.

Can anyone guess who the passenger is with me at Scarborough in July 1985 ?

Michael. That engine could revitalise F350.

Sorry to sound so "negative" does the 350 engine run liners?, so much power will be lost through the primary drive & separate gearbox that it wouldn't line with a TZ350.
One make series but that would be a non stater.

A question to Michel-
Are these Konny engines designed to run on Petrol or Methanol?

Hi Eddy, yes you are right it is, although her husband Les raced at Scarborough, she never had, as it had always been an ambition of hers I was happy to take her round after Les finally retired. She must surely hold the record as the most senior female passenger.

I also thought that, so I spoke to some former 350 fast guys who seem to be enthusiastic. If it flops which most "expert" posters here predict I dont really care at least I tried, AND had a lot of FUN.

Bob you know how long the 700 took, it was over a year ago I think sice I sent you the PDF files of the concept, so the 350 will be about the same. The aim is to get 85 BHP, not easy amd impossible according to some.

I would say a 6 speed Mick Hemmings or a TZ350 cut off.

the classic club is welcoming,if your face fits, and will alter classes to satisfy their solo sponsor/manufacturers.Having raced without the club for the past five years, supporting the clubs that support the chairs myself ,passengers and others manage to race a diverse and varied season incorporating isle of man, scotland ,france, belgium, germany and england.Go where your efforts are appreciated and the paddock is supportive in getting you to the grid to let the riding do the talking
As for the qiestion of gearbox I can highly recomend tt industries heavy duty, with specific ratios for a chair, reliability good and support/supply(only needed sprockets in the years I've had one)
