I've just joined to pass my condolences on to the families of both Bill & Kev.

I first met Bill at Oulton Park in the early 90's. I remember it well, dad and I were spectating at Old Hall when he started talking to this bloke about racing together in the "old days" I remember thinking this fella must be famous?!?!

I then heard Bill ask the question "I'm thinking of starting up again, do you fancy it?"
This was the start of many great times, the highlight for me being their return to the TT in 97. Race day was a scorcher and after 3 gruelling laps, they had to push the outfit from Governors Bridge to the finish after the engine finally gave up.
I didn't give a damn who won that day because I was so proud of them getting that finish and that is a memory that will stay with me forever. A great day!!!!

I never got chance to meet Kev but dad said he was one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet, so I really wish I had!!!!

Steve McQueen once said "Racing is life......everything before and after is just waiting." I think this sums up the dedication these guys put into what they loved and that gets my upmost respect!!!

Thanks for the memories Bill, may you and Kevin rest in peace.

It was very moving to see all the sidecars out together at Mallory to do a lap in tribute to Bill, Kevin and Dave. Thinking of you always, boys. xx
