The only picture of Ray's Vincent outfit I have, only downside is that it has me at the controls.

The Yamaha outfit Oldbelly refers to was actually built by Matty, with the motor supplied by Ken Blacklock.
I remember being in the workshop when Matty had laid out all the chalklines on the floor with the headstock jig bolted to the floor. Impressive stuff for a young lad to see the chalk lines slowly turn into bent and brazed tubes coming together into a racing outfit. No pictures of this though!

tonybsa2008,

Ray did set a lap record at Croft in 1974 with the Konig and Gordon Russel in the chair, Terry Bradley was in the sidecar from 1975 onwards as his regular passenger. The lap record was set at 1:20.4

This is the Applegate Konig whilst Stuart had it at the TT either '73 or '74 where I helped with the spannering...

gvh...I've always thought that foto included Ray as he finished second and the outfit was in his colour...Ray was a super guy and I got on well with him...one day at Knockhill he ran into my right rear threequarters, after the race I went over to have a word of clarification....next weekend we were at Croft and Ray knew it better than me...he offered, tag on to my tail in practice, which I did and learned a lot....unfortunately for Ray I beat him in the races...what a pissing wet day it was... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
