But as usual Dean, youd be concerned about the F2 bit. ;)
Tell you what geoff or anyone else its the agm this saturday if you think that the fsra only do work for F2    then get your *&^% up there get voted on and find out ...or if youd prefer sit on the side lines making snide remarks
Ask the F1 guys who will be receiving some trophies paid for by the fsra   even though we have not run the championship.

It's been raining down here today, I suppose that's the fault of the ACU as well. Look, we have all had disagreements with the ACU over the years but they are not to blame for everything.

The following is in the draft regs:
The paddock will be organised by the promoter and his appointed agent. The promoter is:
The Department of Economic Development which is an Isle of Man Government Department whose registered office is:
St. Andrews House
Finch Road
DOUGLAS
Isle of Man
IM1 2PX

If we need to get there before the proposed opening time, which is given as Friday 09.00 am, then we need to speak to the right people.

im sure that special circumstances will be ok eckart however i think the general feeling is that a lot of people complain that the tt goes on for too long they make it shorter and still complain why would you want to be there more than 2 days before .....

i did the tt this year for the first time and cant see why as competitors we are not allowed into the paddock early if required...it may be that there is no security till later on and i understand that the iom goverment dont want to pay for all that too soon...but some people come over early to have a break before the tt starts and some to learn the circuit....yes its handy that they are looking at the amount of time we need too be there....but i think that the saturday practice was a good idea as it gave you an extra few days to get your laps in and the bike sorted....but that cant be helped now....

I'm not sure why everyone is jumping to conclusions instead of contacting us to discuss. Recently the regulations were sent out in draft form to every competitor we hold an e-mail address for, for consultation. We have so far received no feedback with regards to the paddock and the opening times from a single competitor. This is exactly the sort of thing this consultation was for. I appreciate not all competitors have an e-mail address on file with us, although most do, and I apologise to those that didn't get the draft copy. However we are not presently resourced to carry out this kind of consultation in any other way than electronically.

However, at the present moment, this is all a moot point. We are currently in negotiations over a new lease on the area, as well as being in the middle of a number of tenders for key services relating to the operation of this area including paddock management and security. All of those things will have an impact on how the site is operated and when it opens etc. As will any competitor feedback.

Even if we do have to open it later than in previous years, we will of course look to accommodate any competitor with bespoke requirements, such as Eckhart, in a manner which keeps all parties happy.

Trust this helps.

Having been involved with a sidecar race team at the tt since 1998, I,d like to chip in my 2 pence worth. There seems to be a lot of rumour about things, PADDOCK.RULES. REGS. ENGINE SPEC. First Geoff I agree . I cant see there being enough space on ferries, and Eckart I think the organisers will help with your situation,as all mainland Europe entrants have at least 2 ferries, and many miles to get to the tt. With ref to the paddock a guy called Chris seems to me to be good at sorting problems out and organising parking. Since I have been going to the tt the paddock, and facilities, have improved and are more organised, and helpful.
ALSO we seem to always travel over on wed/thursdays berore practice week,it helps us to sort out and chill out.
Paul I agree with what you said, but also as Matt commented my team boss and driver does not do e-mail I deal with most of it so could you send all the relevant regs to me at robkcars@aol.com.

P.S. sorry for my bit of a rant but the tt is still the best racing place in the world, and I am speaking from my own personal experience.

yes i agree that not all team's can get the time off ,we went early and had a holiday over there before the event kicked off cos once you start the practice and racing you don't get any more free time ,there again i suppose i would be then classed as a holiday racer hey! you can't please everyone all i'm saying is please stop putting barrier's up but as paul say's nobody has contacted him so hopefully it can be sorted cos it's still the best meeting in the world bar none and if my circumstance's could be changed we would be there tomorrow :D
