I downloaded a video of 1990 TT a while ago - some of the shots of Sav are really good..

You are right about comparing era's - the best are the best :D - whenever they were / are racing...

Geoff, I went down to London in 1992 to buy two Konnig engines from a guy. It was in the centre of London, the workshop was under some arches of a bridge. As we went into this dingy badly lit workshop, there against the back wall was 4 or 5 outfits.
The one that stood out was a Sabre outfit, TZ 700 or 750 engine in it. Must have been one of Dave's. A dinosaur then but what would it be worth now,piece of sidecar history, no doubt still there. Wonder how many other famous outfits are sitting in garages :(

Asked Nick one day how to get through Hall Bends at Caddy, gave me some sound advice ....never struggled again....top bloke

I couldn't agree more Geoff. That was one of THE great TT laps. Sav told me that Nick reckoned there were places where he could still go quicker!! :notworthy: :notworthy:
