We need an "open Classic" class, but then you could say there are too many classes chasing the entry fees.
Shall I start a debate then about 1000cc Beemers being raced before 31/12/1972...? Ah well, better not ;)

Thanks for that Mike, that really is 'food for thought', Henk went well with this engine in is old bike, but his home made chassis wasn't the best handler, this on the other hand . . . :notworthy: :D

Thanks for all the positive comments :) Your right Geoff yours arms do get a bit near, mine just miss but Henk is about 5" taller than me ;) On his old bike he used to rest his arms on top of the rocker covers !! ;) Steve your correct in thinking different engine new set of problems :o I like to have an engine around me for a while before I build the bike so when i have a cup of tea I can spend five minutes thinking about things ;)

I believed Henk's Guzzi engine to be pre 1972, if this is the case, can he use it in CRMC over 750 classic class ?
Just askin' !

I understand the rule is that if its pre 72 and was raced in the day then the answer is yes. It doesn't have to have been raced at any particular cc, as it looks like the original. Best check with the eligibility officer. I think it looks great. If it goes P4 I guess it may be allowed to run those tyres as well (like the Kettle did).

Germans, with a very neat but totally not "Classic" Guzzi outfit.
