As for the Twitter / FB thing
I'd say that filter is already in place - a forum like this is the ideal format - I only occasionally take a look at FB - never been on Twitter - they take up far too much time - looking through stuff I don't have time for - as Dave says "flawed because it is tailored to suit the whole population" - (trouble is - they think we're all the same)There is a surfeit of information available today and you just need some kind of filter to sort the wheat from the chaff

PS - agree with all the supportive comments on here - would add - I personally don't think it matters if the site isn't up to date - leave that to the other sites - this site is far more valuable to the interested - a bit like comparing a daily newspaper with a reference book - and we all know what happens to the Sun / mirror when we've finished reading.... (substitute your favourite paper)
