Quote:- "We will commencing scrutineering from 17.00 till 19.00 on Friday evening. There is NO signing on until the Saturday morning.
We would appreciate COLD bikes please
Probably starting about 07.00 on Saturday. But it'll be a later start for the noise testing.
Allow for the long queue for signing on!"
I can't believe that anyone still Signs On the night before the event. It is a serious breach of Duty of Care (in my opinion). You must be able to look each competitor in the eye and ensure they are straight and in fit condition to participate on each morning of every event.
With an entry of 150 competitors, I can't understand why you think it will produce a Long Queue anyway..............?
We regularly sign on up to 350 riders (including 50+ minors - who have far more paperwork) without any issues.
On a more positive note:-
It's nice to see a good grid of Sidecars supporting Derby Phoenix.
Don't forget that the first Sidecar Race on Sunday is the "Pete Minion Trophy Race" and of course Pete will be there to present the trophy on the podium.
