Any idea why he ran that layout Steve?,did he have problems kneeling or just wanted to be different?

Hi
regulations say "foot behind the knee", than it is a sidecar.
It comes from solo and we are still a motorcycle class.

If memeory serves me correct i believ he had a bad leg so wanted to try and make it easier, he didnt ride it for very long though.. And he went quicker on a standard bike!!

If my memory serves me correct, Ray Thomas from SRT Motorcycles had a feet forward outfit built By the late John Rae????

Sorry it's in German. In my opinion, best sidecar driver ever, development ended when Biland retired.

One of the reasons that sidecars are not being developed, (or) evolving is because, the powers that be, have strangled any form of development at birth (In Britain.) If any constructor tries to modernize the outfits that he makes, he is shouted down. What is the point of spending many hour upon hour designing and building a slightly newer approach to sidecars, just to have it banned before it even sees a race track.

I remember Ray turning up with a feet forward tubular outfit at Darley Moor, around 1992ish.
