Michel, Rudi Kurths outfit was that light that he transported it on the roof of his Citroen estate.

The first Renwick had Citroen hydraulic units also, BTW I once owned a DS safari and the roof was made from Fibre glass so that outfit was really light.

NSU - Ray's was the first to race with CRMC. Mini units for rear suspension were not uncommon and did the job very well - our last bike ran one of these and was CRMC eligible with the Triumph motors.
Rudi in conjunction with Fritz Scheidegger used a number of Citroen components including a front wheel drive that was only tested, never raced.

Tony, Bob will tell you, the mini rubber ball was used with two small hydraulic dampers mounted on the swing arm, the set up on my first Windle.

Tony the picture of my weslake on page 6 of this post shows the mini rubber cone on the rear suspension. The dampers Ian mentioned were engine mounting dampers from austin 1800s..

Getting back to the serious side of the thread, will Howard be able to race his Konig powered outfit , with a change of tyres/wheels etc in Classic Club meetings in 2013?
As a lot of people have said, sidecar bloke is an amiable guy & is doing a great job, but I think Howard deserves a straight answer after all the money & hard work he has put into the bike, that answer isn't forth coming from sidecar bloke!
I honestly can't see what more Howard can do to prove that the Konig engine was raced in an outfit before the initial 2 Stroke cut off date.
