From our place the landing stage at Liverpool is just over half an hour away so on the 25th May 2012 we are booked on the 11.15am sailing to the IOM, our home for the week is once again the 'Benderbus' a VW Campervan so in a nutshell I have my very own portable Snoozebox that sleeps 5 .
After a lap of the circuit we will make our base opposite the start and finish at Castletown for the weekend so we can take in some fine classic racing on a proper road circuit.

The rest of our stay will be at a secret location made famous by Guy Martin during the making of The Film TT 3D,,,,,,

Apart from the TT practice each night we will be riding on both the Steam and on the Electric railways, doing some Whale watching (weather permitting) Pony Trekking at the Cronk-y Voddy, Karting at Dukes place Jurby, visiting all of the photo exhibitions as well as doing the paddock walk about so our kids get to meet the brave souls who pay with their lives to entertain the unwashed.

Wish me luck with 3 kids for a whole week,,,,,,,one who wants to be there with Dad who used to race Sidecars, the middle one who doesn't want to miss out on a good time/ enjoys camping but likes the merchandise coz she's a 12 y/o biker chick, and the youngest who loves the 'TT Island' for the beaches, ice cream, steam trains and fast food.

So if you come across a chap who looks like he is about to explode with 3 kids in tow it could well be me,,,,,,,please be sympathetic as I am after photos of riders/locations so they will look back in years to come and want to return to the greatest road racing circuit in the world.

Regards

Fritz,,,,

Fritz, come find me and say hello mate! I'll be hanging around like I usually do. Really quiet and shy, I'll be the one trying to get a wifi connection to work in the paddock somewhere or anywhere :D :P

Of course we're going! Linda's riding over but I won't be there until sometime thursday evening. Kevin has asked if I could help with the JDF table behind the grandstands, so I'll even be able to help out while there.

And there's a certain bridge I need to visit, too ......

Glad to see my adopted team is off to a nice smooth start to the 2012 TT with everything running like clockwork

Hopefully it was something simple like the boat was late. See everyone Sunday morning (you may see me Saturday evening, but after 34+ hours of traveling I probably won't see/remember you).

If you are going across on Thursday night (02.15) from Heysham, can you squeeze in a solo for Dan Kneen? Contact via me, or his Facebook page

Extremely late then! I was there 12 hours later too and no sign! Will try again in the morning, although the cakes I baked him are a bit squished after my kids found them and tried to eat them...
