Slower ones in the way? Don't know if it happens these days but in the past we ran some good old fashioned handicap races in CRMC, great fun. Probably be outlawed by the Elf & Safetree nutters these days ...

I tried to get the club to run a hutchinson ( if thats how you spell it) 100 race a few years ago,as we were already going to brands I thought dont change the grid but the whole race from one race to the next.I would love to do paddock bend the other way, but effing and safety ruled that out

Have done Hands Bratch as a passenger, Paddock is exhilarating as is what was South Bank, the bit coming off the new circuit onto the Bottom Straight - happy days :D :D :D

There are so few great left handers that are long and fast. There is so much more fun and fear when you get one right :o

Bill Barrowcliff's handicap races are still a feature of our Race of the Year weekend; Bill has been kind enough to contribute trophies, bubbly etc., (which we can't mention) - sadly it didn't happen at Silverstone last year due to time constraints. At Snetterton two years ago we were pipped at the line for what I thought was third place by Colin Lewis, a matter of inches. However, if you look at the footage taken by some of the outfits, if I'd looked behind everybody was right behind me; Jane said she'd never seen anything like it - almost the whole grid within inches of each other going round Coram - exciting or what! Elf and safety - they're all conkers!

Good to hear Ian. Have enjoyed riding in some really good handicaps, always great fun. Strange thing is that my best lap times have often happened during those races :?

Hey guys I'm not moaning just not use to bingo grid positions that's all!!!! My first meeting after a 8yr time out was at thundersport festival of sidecars which was timed practice that worked very well so presumed that's how crmc rolled to! I can see the attraction with Ian's balls but being a straight guy ill pass! Lmfao!!!
No seriously I can see the attraction to the bingo grid as mixes it all up and I'm sure makes good watching!
I'm happy to start any where on the grid as long as I'm on the grid!!!!!! 8years out has been painfull I can tell you but family and business sometimes have to come first, only sometimes!!!!
Ian in answer to your question do I really need to answer it?
Ok yes dad is quick he always has been its in the genes he is a safe fast rider but I'm his off spring and I come with upgrades that make me faster lmfao!!!!
Anyway ill shut up now and ill see you guys soon
P.s. the blue smoke is what has to happen when your trying to get the most out of a 836cc honda when your up against big bmws and imps!

I know I heard!!! It's okay though we got a 1020cc honda at home in bits we can soon get it together to stop this BMW takeover! Oh no we can't I forgot! We not allowed to be any bigger than 836cc!

why are the Beemers allowed to be +1000cc? In the period they never had that capacity.

During the period there where some meetings which had a capacity limit of 1000cc and others which had a 1300cc. Competitor's in the period up to 1972 had the option of using engines up to these limits,so I believe that it is fair to have big capacity engines. I think it would be wise to set an upper limit which covers engines currently used.

Good point about Honda`s only being maxed to 836cc,during the period Imps were usually out to 998 and I doubt there were any 1000cc plus pushrod BM`s,so why one rule for one and another for another. :?:

All those that believe that they can't compete against the bigger engines, why not drop a 750 twin in your bike and join the P1 & P2 class?
Then we can improve our class grid size and have our own separate race, just a thought! ;)
