The FSRA are our 'trade' body, representing our views and interests. Please could the FSRA write to the ACU and ask for a full disclosure of how many TT drivers responded to the email, and how many respondents were (a) in favour of the change and (b) against the change? Not asking the ACU to name names, but it's the only way we'd know if they are actually representing the majority of the racers, or a very few high-profile ones.

Was it the ACU or the TT organisers doing the survey?
I think the ACU were a bit surprised by this move as much as the Fsra (see John's and DS' posts earlier in this thread) if I've read things right.

Tend to agree with Steve's comments as above - time for some 'transparency' perhaps?

TT organisers sent the email asking for feedback.
I responded but haven't heard anything back so not sure if it was read or reached the right place.

Dear Sidecar competitors
We are currently in the annual review period post TT and are considering options with regards to the technical regulations for the Sidecar class going forward. There are currently no clear plans for 2014 or beyond right now, therefore we would welcome any feedback you may wish to offer up on the subject.
To allow timely planning for both ourselves and yourselves, please come back tome via e-mail with your feedback no later than the 30th of September.
Best wishes
Paul

Thats what was sent to all registered competitors My reply also was to leave it as it is . My only comment was to police it better strip the top 5 anyway and 2 randomly from every 10 after that . That way you also dont get missiles in what is no longer practice but qualifying . That all of a sudden are a LOT slower in the races

. This is a very political subject . But also to make a decision to leave it at a MINUTED Road race meeting

then allow this to happen .
Cant wait to see the minutes appear on the website ....

The same here, email sent on behalf of Dave Hirst. Not even an acknowledgement of email received.
edit. An email was received on Wednesday October 16th, although by that time it felt a bit like "second-hand" news.

Being devils advocate, will the TT regs be relevant for the Southern and Scarborough, if they are going to be people may decide not to do the British Champs and just do the roads and a few clubbies to get signatures for the TT licence,
Just a thought

do you honestly believe that competitor's other than the front runner's will ever get their thought's on the matter even looked at ,it took year's to make them run std motor's and even when some got caught what was the answer it was decided not to do anything as it was seen to be bad for the sport ,what a load of rubbish ,it was just a pity that as usual this has been rushed through and not given time for folk to prepare i feel sorry for all the team's that have spent money on std unit's but there again do they give a hoot what 3/4's of the event want

Why not just run standard engines and disqualify anybody found cheating?
It really is easy.
Oh, and sack any officials not enforcing the rules properly.

Can't do that Simon as it might change the race finish order unfavourably for some
