It was actually 1982, Bob. We were parked opposite him in the paddock. You took some pics of our outfits also ;)

Great shot of the Boret brothers!
I am completing a biography on Kim Newcombe and would appreciate any shots of Koenig outfits particularly in 1973. The book includes a fairly comprehensive account of the GP sidecar championships in 1972 and 1973.I am also keen to get hold of Nick if anyone can help.
Beers 'n cheers

Remember a guy at north glos meetings in early 80's, bit of an eccentric, smoked a pipe and wandered around the paddock in slippers, looked like Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull. The motor used to jump around the frame when revved. Last i heard it was sold to someone to go classic racing, they put a head steady on it and the frame fell to bits.

Ken & Barry run an engineering business where they build these beasts when Barry has spare time. The solo bike has had success at Daytona Battle of the Twins. They based them on the original engine with some new tech stuff included. They had to call them Irving Vincent as someone still owns the 'Vincent' name. Phil's widow approved of the name when she was asked.

A couple from Cadwell today. The outfit was a single cylinder with a 4 valve head that was only on the drawing board but the driver got hold of the drawings and brought them to life. He also has drawings for a revolutionary 1000cc Vincent that he is working on at the moment. He was giving Nick Weston a run for his money.

The second photo was well..............
