If you didnt have so many non classics out there at the moment, you wouldnt need this thread,or extra 750s.

Honda should be allowed to go to 900cc we are destroying engines trying to compete with +1000cc motors

As per usual a thread is being to jacked to raise a few individual gripes. If you want to know what is eligible to race in the CRMC then ask the chairman for what qualifies to race now under current rules of the club and he'll tell you. If the machine qualifies then you are in and if i'm not mistaken the grids are damned healthy and there is some real close racing going on.

As for this thread then a fairly simple 750 formula open to all comers sounds like a great idea giving those who have spent a lot of money and even more time, the chance to cross the line first and that is what it is all about.

There are racers and there are talkers - I know which I prefer to be, so Steve the racer and Terry the racer good luck with this and knowing how accommodating our unquestioningly popular representative is, if it can be done then it will be done.

Just as an aside, Brian Gray runs an 836cc Honda with a degree of success ;-)

being a spoilt bunny I have 2 16" outfits, with 750cc engines and a 13" 1000cc, but when I have raced them the paddock gossips wave the foul deed flag, but are not confident enough to put their money down!.Because of this I no longer participate in crmc events.Terry,John .P, Billy Podgkins et al ,all suffer from the same paddock gossips as I have, someone preceeded home by a 750cc motor likes to have an excuse, don't they.
On a serious note, the 750cc class is a far safer place to learn the trade, the speed differential of the fast P3s and novices can lead to intimidating situations.Maybe races based on qualification times, rather than capacities, would allow crews to develope and provide close, entertaining races for spectators and riders.

:D Hi Ian - As you have got two 16" surely you should bring at least one of them out to play with us and help swell the grid with 750's. The cc thing would go away in the proposal as we have access to a simple through the plug capacity checker and we would all get "done" through the season so no sour grapes from whoever about size of engine. It would be great to see you out again with the CRMC and of course another British Twin.

Ian, just to bring you up to speed (no pun intended) since Darley Moor this year, Sidecar Bloke has been running with time qualifying for the whole sidecar grid, so now everyone is on the grid amongst their nearest timed competitors. This is beneficial to both the safety aspects and eliminates intimidation as you put it, equally it is better for the crews moral by allowing them to move onto the grid thus rewarding their qualifying abilities and lastly it benefits the spectator in that they see close racing happening right throughout the field right from the off and through to the end.

So as far as Im concerned things are looking great and would be even better if we could achieve enough 750's to form a separate grid and give Sidecar Bloke an even bigger headache by having to accommodate some 40-50 sidecars within the CRMC. 8-)

My 750 BMW Bellas chassis is now ready. Just need Richard to do the engine bit and we are on the grid. See you 750 guys next season.
