A great weekend for ‘Team Chainsaw’, well almost. We qualified very well in a convincing third and we were both convinced that ‘big things’ were about to happen………….
Interviews from the man himself Simon Smith and Super star passenger Mick Fairhurst.
A great social event that I’m still smiling about (a little ruefully, it must be said).

Show41 A chat with some unusual fans!
The TT brings people from the entire globe to a small island with a huge heart. In that lofty environment a strange fermentation sometimes occurs, best friends are met, stories of daring do are told and retold faster and harder than the events ever happened and kindness of a strange and magical kind flows freely.
In this show I talk to some folk that I met by chance, guys with no previous affiliation with the slidey community. With only slight encouragement from me they became part of the three-wheeled brigade.
A genuine laugh was had by all and I would like to thank all the people that helped me make this show and the super long show that’s planed for next week.

Show43 Interviews with the boys from S&DMCC and TT winner Conrad Harrison.
Stone and District Motorcycle Club has been resurrected by a bunch of true enthusiasts, with over eighty members in just a few months (including Dean Banks) these boys are pushing the boat out in the name of plane old fun and doing a bit of good in the world. This Saturday lunchtime will see many of the members out on track at Darley Moor on the taxi rides to raise money for ‘Help for Hero’s’ and the ACU Benevolent Fund. Should anyone fancy a go on a range of machines please contact me on 07730784975.
Also in this show I travel to Idle in Bradford to talk to a true ‘working class hero’, the latest in a long list of massive talents that have won the SideCar TT. Conrad talks candidly about his life in the sport and what it has taken for him to make the move to the top step.

Show45. TT winner Mike Aylot

‘Tells it Like it is’!
In a not so quiet Halifax (just before the tour started) I meet up with TT winner Mike Aylot, Mike is almost the opposite to his TT driver Conrad Harrison, in as much as he’s quite quiet and almost self effacing.
Our conversation covers most of Mike’s SideCar racing carrier and what Mike says about his style of passengering could be of real value to any newcomer to our sport, be it on the bars or the platform.
I came away from West Yorkshire truly impressed by a man who has always known his limits but through native intelligence and pure physical fitness has overcome them and become a ‘world class passenger’!
I’ve got so much more material from Mike

and Conrad

that will be in a further show in the off-season.

Show 49: A wild weekend at gale force Croft.
The wind was so strong that you could barely walk around the paddock but the rain stayed away and the smiles were bright.
Lots of luck was in the air but unfortunately for some it comes in two flavours.
The good sort found Winnie and Gary B who had their best result this year with a win and a second, picking up the ‘Steve Norbury’ trophy in the process! The winners in that race were the remarkable pairing of Lee Crawford and Stuart Ramsey who had never contested a British round before!
The bad sort of luck found Lee and Conrad and handed them a DNF and a non-start, which leaves them with an impossible task with only one round left!
With interviews with all of the above plus Jim Hamilton and Mick Fairhurst, it’s a packed show!!
Thanks to all involved for a great weekend!

Show51: We are the Champions!!
A massive weekend for Lady SideCar and I at the iconic Cadwell Park which through up and downs saw us come through to win the very first BEARs SideCar championship in the world! A competition that through the very hard work of: Tony Banister, Adam Pope, David Sykes, John Lorriman and many others will, I’m sure go from strength to strength!!
Also featuring interviews with Anja Braas, Diana Bouman and Gary Anderson, A great time I surely had!!
Thanks to all involved in making this show and a great weekend!!
