From a purely personal point of view, if it's true that the first Saturday practice is to be abolished, I would welcome that. Anything that can reduce the number of days off work needed to do the TT would, I feel, help swell the numbers.
I appreciate that practice time is crucial and I hope the organisers could perhaps find a way to squeeze in an extra session (maybe Friday pm).
Now, all we need is to reduce the ferry costs and get the second race on Monday and the job's a good 'un!

For those of you that didn't get Paul's email he has stated that they are going to try and give you the same amount of practice time, just over 5 days instead of 6.

With the above in mind the Department of Economic Development, owners and promoters of the Isle of Man TT Races have decided to maintain the existing race classes, technical regulations and core race programme for 2011. The Race Programme for TT 2011 will be as follows[/quote]
Looks like someone applied some common sense

Ok to keep you informed i was at a large auction today and there were only 2 600rr6 3 gsxr 600 and 1 r6 07 to be bought out of 90 bikes there are usually around 300 bikes for auction
all the 600,s were slaughtered you would have got engine only from them and a few bits and NONE of them sold for less than £2k every one went to eastern europe
so then i called at a large breaker on my way back he has 4 x 600rr6 and 3 x 600rr8
and a few other 600,s i asked price on the rr,s wait for it
£1450 each bare engine no covers/starters on em for the rr6 and £1850 each for the rr8
and what did he say to me
Sidecar,s need em now mate havnt you heard so up in £££££ they go
at moment i have 1x rr6 2x rr8 1x r6 09 and 3xgsxr 07-09 all waiting to go out then thats it for a while even i cant afford to buy em
so lets see what happens
Cheers M
