Probably already been mentioned but my lovely other half Ash Hawes started on Solos in Superteens

I've raced solos and sidecars and won races on both.
I've also done a bit of passengering and won at that as well.
Also raced solos and sidecars on the IoM. MGP and TT.
Guess that makes me a bit of a has been all rounder.

the late, great Lee Pullan (steve's lad) raced a hopper at cadwell at least once that I know of. and was awsome on a solo as most will know.
I think he came third on the 350
Gatey was the last known owner of that bike as I sold it to him

Did a few meetings on Mablethorpe beach on an old (even then) RD200 with knobblies on. Then a few seasons on tarmac (mostly) with 3 wheels

I started on a Ducati 748. Raced a TZ350 for a couple of years before switching to three wheels.

Just joined the forum having spotted this thread........
Barry Forderer (RIP) raced solos; 250s IIRC, before he got onto three wheels........I know he did Brands once or twice and I'm sure he used two stroke bikes.
Sorry, I should know more.........I used to be his passenger for a number of years.

Did the southern 4 times on Saab /Suzuki outfit,went back on 350 ypvs solo yam shelved that idea when Dunlop came underneath me at black hole at least 40 mph faster,sold it cos it was better to be reasonable on 3 than useless on 2,happy days!
