...after that the Senior race was delayed till 3.30 pm cause of wetness in the Ramsey area, so the Milestones of the Mountain parade lap was brought forward, the first two men away were this couple, think the rider was Graham Kneale on a 600 Douglas with passenger Nicky Crowe...

In the background of your picture of Wal Saunders, the gentleman in the wheelchair is Geoff Duke.
When we would not allow a young, uppity TV person to go down our lane behind the Grandstand, as he was there and privacy had been requested, I said "I'm sorry, you can't go down there. Mr Duke is there at the moment" Response "..and who the hell is Mr Duke?". Her feet never touched the ground on her way out...

Many thanks to you Gert for your wonderful photos and terrific pashionate story of the 2011 sidecar TT races. I will now buy all the papers and magazines, as I usually do, and I know I will not get as good a report from all of them put together as the report you have just given us. Again, very many thanks!!

...at the end of friday Senior race day still the Sidecar race 2 pricegiving was left to do, many teams allready went home, but still some were there to get their price and trophys presented...
