You are right in some ways Dave but I think that those 'getting paid' for the TT should cover all classes. BY far the biggest payments go to the works teams whi already have budgets that would set most of us up for life. BTW, I believe that Tim largely funded his TT personally this year, no doubt somebody knows differently

That large sum to the exclusive few should be more fairly distributed.
Certainly a 'Sidecar Day' would raise the profile of chairs and I'm sure that a number of teams would support it too. What about 'taxi rides' at Jurby if possible?

One thing I think is that the TT organisers need to recognise we are a different kettle of fish from solos. What works for one doesn't for the other. Go ahead and pay silly money to "star" solo riders, and insist on young guys, BUT, sidecar fans don't particularly look at their teams as "stars" and they don't give a toss about their age... quite proud of the "oldies" in fact.
There are less of us, but we have a groups of loyal fans, who travel every year to watch their favourites... who they probably know well. Wonder how many people, over the years have come across to watch Hanksie, year after year?
Because we are lower profile (reality) most general TT spectators will not know the names of the "stars" anyway, and may, in fact be more intrigued by "lesser lights" because of some athletics by the passenger, or wheel in the air riding.
Scrap the start money, and pay every sidecar team a fee that reflects it's twice the cost to get here etc.

Helen, totaly on your side with this one been saying it for years
might as well find a brickwall and bang your head, they just arent interested, there was enough debate last year, nothing happened, nor will it unless by some miracle the manx fairies can do something, certain people over there and over here just talk shite, those that will get paid will, and those that wont, wont, its totaly in there hands and we all feel whats coming.

Pay all teams the same down through the field.
They're either in it for the love or they're in it for the money.
If they're in it for the money, let them race for it
My guess is they'll do it 'cos they love it......even without the cash incentive.
If not, they won't do it.....but there will be other names who will do it & they're the ones who'll win the money & be the boys to watch

riders should get free boats and enough to cover a set of tyres or help with the soaring insurance from £585 in 09 to £1200 in10 and if long tubular's with 600 motors were aloud it would open it up to riders willing but not able price limmit on ecu's £1000 maybe £1200 well thats my 2 cents

Firstly.. let's have less of this falling off, tipping over, running out of road etc! I know it makes for good pictures, but if I'm seen at the hospital much more often they'll think I'm staff (probably a cleaner). LOL To finish first, first you have to finish..
Sorry helen but at least you didnt have to visit me cause i was able to go home
BY THE WAY HELEN DESERVES A MEDAL FOR HER AND ALL YEAR ROUND HELP AND SUPPORT OF SIDECARS xxxxx
Can i just say AGAIN that i didnt change my BOG STANDARD except a top gear suzuki engine for the whole time at the tt this year and last year...and it was good enough for 107 lap in the second race befoire i crashed lol

AND 2 x 106 MPH LAPS IN THE FIRST RACE and only in my second year ....fortunately for me i did have a great but extremely small team and great passenger aswell..
Would or will i do the same next year HELL YEAH because i still think theres more to come from a standard engine alongside my never ending learning of the course.
By the way i dont have any problem in anyone using tuned engines id rather they use them and be at the TT than have to buy new ones and poss mod chassis BLOODY EXPENSIVE and not be there..
I like many am mostly self funded But i have invested in a second hand motec datalogging system so i dont do the guess work my fuelling changes are factual and precise dont push it just make it fuel right ...And i actually turn the STANDARD REV LIMIT DOWN because theres no power there anyway
NOT LIKE THE NUMEROUS PEOPLE WHO CAME TO PETE TO ASK HIM TO LEAN OFF OR RICHEN UP THEIR MAPS based on what i ask

EEERRR WELL IVE LOOKED UP THE EXHAUST GET BLOODY REAL
No offence intended by the way!!!!
Would more people do the tt if the ferries were free hhhmmm
i dont think so ..but it would help!!!
theres no entry fee anyway !!!!
I think its a great idea to meet public and marshalls no pr is bad pr for yourself or sidecars in general
but some crews wouldnt put themselves out if it wasnt beneficvial to themselves ..but i guess thats the way its always been.
My one handed

typed post is not meant to offend i like most of us am deeply passionate about sidecar racing and want to try and move it forward

What do we know about the German data logging system MotoGP 2 use ? I hear its a third of the cost compared to a full Motec system. Does anybody use one, or is it just for Moto 2 ?
